Install
Install the UniClipboard app on iPhone (TestFlight) and Android (APK).
The UniClipboard mobile app is a LAN-only / self-hosted sync client — it connects to a computer running UniClipboard desktop with "phone sync" turned on, and syncs your clipboard both ways with that computer. It is not a full P2P node and does not join the encrypted space that desktops share; two phones never sync with each other, they each talk to the desktop.
The app is not published to any app store. On iOS it ships as a TestFlight beta; on Android you sideload the APK. Pick the tab below that matches your phone.
Before installing the app, get a computer ready: it needs to be running UniClipboard desktop, have "phone sync" turned on, and be on the same Wi-Fi as your phone. See Mobile sync for how to turn it on from the desktop side. Without that computer, the app has nothing to connect to.
The iOS build is currently a TestFlight beta. You need Apple's official TestFlight app installed first.
- Open the App Store on your iPhone, then search for and install TestFlight.
- Open the invite link on your iPhone: https://testflight.apple.com/join/nyNQ8dQe
- The link opens TestFlight; tap Accept, then Install, and UniClipboard lands on your home screen.
If installing or opening the link stalls, or you see a certificate / HTTPS error, a proxy or VPN (Loon, Surge, Shadowrocket, Clash, etc.) is most likely intercepting TestFlight. Temporarily turn the proxy off (including global rules, TUN mode, and HTTPS decryption) so TestFlight can connect directly, then re-open the link. The app itself only talks to the desktop on your local network and needs no proxy.
The Android build is not on Google Play. You sideload the APK from GitHub Releases.
-
Open the releases page in your phone's browser: github.com/UniClipboard/UniClip/releases/latest (if it won't load in your region, use the Gitee mirror).
-
Download the matching APK variant:

Tap the downloaded APK to install. The first time, the system will block it — follow the prompt to allow your browser / file manager to install unknown apps, then tap it again.
About the dev build
The app may ship a dev build alongside the release build; they can be installed side by side (the dev build's display name has a "Dev" suffix). Regular users should install the release build and can ignore the dev one.
Next step
Once the app is installed, connect it to your desktop: see Connect to your desktop.
